What is PAT testing?
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT testing) is the best way of ensuring your electrical appliances in your rental property or business are safe to use.
We use the most reliable and up to date Portable Appliance Testing equipment to check for damaged or faulty electrical equipment.
As a Landlord or business owner you are liable for all of your electrical equipment and if it were to hurt or damage anyone or anything, you would be responsible.
Any portable appliance in your property should be inspected and checked to ensure you are totally covered and can have peace at mind.
We advise PAT testing be carried out every 12 months to keep your tenants or employees safe.
Legionella risk assessments
If you are a landlord in Scotland, you are legally required to have a risk assessment of your property for legionella.
Legionella is the bacterial which causes legionnaires disease, a form of pneumonia, which can be fatal.
Legionella bacteria can grow in any hot or cold water system and is more common in systems with water tanks.
A Legionella Risk Assessment should be carried out before a property is first let and reviewed at regular intervals of no more than 2 years to keep the risk of Legionnaires Disease and other water hygiene hazards at a minimum.
At the end of your assessment you will receive a fully completed and compliant Legionella Risk Assessment Report demonstrating your compliance with the new legislation.
